The Urban Fun arcade and entertainment centre has opened at Broad Street Mall in the town centre, in space that was previously occupied by New Look and a coronavirus vaccination site.
Photos from inside show a variety of the activities on offer, including pool tables, interactive darts and prize grab games.
Layla Billing, the deputy manager of FunBox Entertainment which runs Urban Fun said: “We have an immersive arcade that works on a player card systems.
“Customers can top up their card and play on a range of arcade games.
“We have VR attractions, pool tables, claw machines and a variety of other arcade games with more to come soon.
“The cards last 12 months after the last time you last top up, so you can come back a use your credits within that time. There is also augmented reality darts available, which you can book instore or online. We have four lanes available.”
“There is a large range of drinks, with cocktails on their way in the near future.
“Our kitchen offers a range of burgers, pizza, and donuts along with kid’s menus available as well.

“We offer kid’s parties and corporate packages, customers can contact us via the website to book these.”
Urban Fun is currently open from 10am to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday and 10am to 11pm Thursday to Saturday.
The company won permission for internal changes to the mall from Reading Borough Council’s planning applications committee in April last year.
The opening of the venue took place on Thursday, December 19, 2024.
