Reading Borough Council has electric cars with CCTV equipment, which patrol the town taking photos of drivers who break parking rules.
These CCTV cars are called ‘approved devices’ as they have legal approval to issue fines.
Now the roads where the drivers have been caught out the most over a one year period have been revealed.
A majority of the fines were issued in Oxford Road, with the CCTV cars being responsible for 4,485 fines.
Friar Street was the second highest with 1,227- notching out Wokingham Road with 1,039 fines, which was the second highest last year.
Meanwhile, 770 fines were issued for parking breaches in Blagrave Street.

The CCTV cars were responsible for a total of 10,408 penalty charge notice (PCN) fines during the 2023/24 municipal year.
Of those, a majority -10,038- were issued to drivers who were caught stopping along the red route, which bans parking along the route at any time.
The remainder were for drivers who wrongfully parked in bus stops and stands, and those who park on ‘School: Keep Clear’ markings.
All of these are classed as ‘higher-level PCNs’ that come with a fine of £70, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days of receiving a postal notice.
The figures are revealed in the council’s Annual Parking Service Report 2023/24.
