A Reading town centre kebab shop popular with revellers has applied to keep on selling food until the early hours of the morning.
Zorba’s Shisa and Kebab in Station Road already has permission to serve food until 3am.
But now, a licensing application has been submitted to Reading Borough Council which would allow Zorba’s to serve food until 5am.
As well as its signature kebabs and pitta, it also serves burgers, chicken nuggets and chips to hungry diners as one of the eateries that is open latest in the town centre.

Although facing onto Station Road, Zorba’s is located within the Harris Arcade, a place where it has occupied for over two decades.
It is understood the kebab shop takes its name from the book Zorba the Greek, which explores the relationship between a young intellectual and the adventurous Alexis Zorbis.
