A new Indian restaurant is set to open in a now bustling mall in Reading town centre.
Indian restaurant Bombay Brothers will be taking over a spot in The Village mall, better known as King’s Walk.
They will occupy Unit 4 of the mall, which is believed to be located on the upper level of The Village, a section of the mall formerly occupied by Italian restaurant Dolce Vita and Thai restaurant Art of Siam.
Doors for Art of Siam were seen open when the Local Democracy Reporting Service went through the mall today (Tuesday, July 12).
In anticipation of opening, Bombay Brothers has applied to sell alcohol on and off premises from 10am to 11pm Monday to Sunday.
Increasing numbers of global eateries have opened in the mall since 2019.
New occupants include Ding Tea, My Warsaw Polish street food, Vietnamese restaurant Banh Mi QB, Ji The Chicken Shop and High Spirits Cocktail company.
These entrants join older tenants Pho, The Soju, Bolan Thai, The Little Desert Shop and Escape Hunt.
The licensing application for Bombay Brothers has been submitted to Reading Borough Council.

The deadline for representations is Monday, August 1.
