It can now be converted into 52 flats, after a larger plan for 72 flats was refused earlier this year.

Eaton Court in Oxford Road is set to be converted into 40 one-bed and 12 two-bed flats.
The building used to serve as the Centre for Health and Disability Assessments for the Department for Work and Pensions before it was vacated in 2022.
A previous plan to convert it into 52 flats was rejected in July over concerns about noise from commercial properties such as The Butler, The Face Bar and a tyre business impacting potential occupiers.

However, the applicant submitted a noise impact assessment suggesting that the existing commercial uses in the area would not have an adverse impact on the amenity or health of future residents.
The conclusions of the report were accepted by planning officer Nathalie Weekes, with the project being approved on September 23.

Initial site investigations for a project to build four new homes in Caversham have concluded.
The plan, approved by councillors in May, will see the homes built between Atterbury Gardens and Richmond Road.
Details of the phase 2 site investigation and the remediation strategy were approved on September 23.
